I am currently the 2nd Vice-president and PD Chair for the Coquitlam Teahcers' Association. I have been teaching for 32 years in a variety of schools, levels and curriculums. My interest in social responsibility, social emotional learning and social justice has been through my efforts in the classroom to create and safe and caring learning environments. In about 1995 I contacted Dr. Kim Schonert-Reichl to speak to the staff at the school I was working at the time about the moral development of teens. This led to further work with Kim and various adventures leading to a Masters degree, the Encompass Conference and the formation of SRCLE. |

She is currently co-writing a book on bullying and co-leading a three-year Canadian Initiative for Prevention of Bullying funded by National Crime Prevention. |
